Judging the superior taste

The International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) has announced its recent strategic partnership with the Greek, Swedish and Portuguese Chefs Associations. These agreements enable selected members of these three highly regarded organisations of professional chefs to actively participate in iTQi's annual tasting juries, including the Superior Taste Award 2008.

The Swedish Chef of the Year Association, Föreningen Årets Kock (www.aretskock.se), founded in 1983, is a very select organisation composed only of chefs who have won the yearly national competition.

Hellenic Chef's Association (www.chefclub.gr), founded in 1992, actively promotes Greek gastronomy and education, both in Greece and around the world.

Created in 1984, the ACCP – Association of Professional Chefs of Portugal, Associação de Cozinheiros Profissionais de Portugal (www.acpp.pt) represents more than 2000 professionals. It is also member of the World Association of Cooks Societies (WACS).

iTQi is the world's leading independent Chef- and Sommelier- based organisation dedicated to judging, certifying and promoting superior tasting food and drink.

The products evaluation is made by juries of renowned European Chefs, beverages experts and Sommeliers, members of the 12 most prestigious European culinary organisations and the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).

The Superior Taste Award granted by iTQi is used by hundreds of companies in more than 60 countries to promote their food and beverage products.

This recognition allows manufacturers and retailers to differentiate their products and hence to boost their sales with a strong marketing message.

The products entry for the Superior Taste Award 2008 is open until the end of February. All details are available on www.itqi.org.
