Kondos specialises in alternate mobile media communication, as seen from a customer relationship management context, and is the marketing brain behind the award-winning Bluetooth CRM software developed by WCIT, a company he co-founded in South Africa.

“Kondos' experience and knowledge in the field of Bluetooth wireless communication is second to none,” said William Kells, Broadburst Technologies CEO. “Our first introduction to Petros was during the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, where he was a featured speaker. As one of the leaders in the use of Bluetooth in managing customer relationships, his experience strengthens the company's ability to offer unique mobile media solutions to its North American clients.”

Under Kondos' leadership, WCIT has won a wide range of national and international awards for innovative retail communications for its clients. He led the development of WCIT's BlueTrace system, a proprietary software program that gathers powerful pedestrian logistical data from installed Bluetooth networks. This data-driven CRM tool monitors information such as traffic count, dwell time, movement patterns, entry and departure times and frequency of site visitation.

The system also enables visitors to register their mobile phone along with personal information and interests to allow the location operator to send tailored greetings and offers to their phone each time they visit. Currently WCIT operates a Bluetooth network installed in 22 malls across South Africa that delivers approximately 40 000 mobile media messages per month and tracks the movement of 850 000 visitors within those locations.

“I'm looking forward to working with Broadburst to bring the experience I've gained introducing these dynamic applications in Europe, Australia and South Africa to the North American marketplace,” said Kondos.

“The use of Bluetooth as a powerful CRM tool is starting to gain momentum worldwide. In addition to the obvious applications to retail environments, we continue to see success in the deployment of Bluetooth Wireless Technology for multimedia content delivery, mobile couponing and other forms of consumer engagement.”
