The latest mobile engagement benchmarks report, released by eMarketer in the US, indicates that in-app message centres are a guaranteed channel to share content with an entire app audience.

The report found message centre content generates eight times the read rate of push notifications alone. Even better, message centre read rates more than double when used in combination with a push notification.
A message centre offers marketers a designated, branded content marketing channel, within an app, to share persistent content with app users, whether or not they have opted to receive push notifications.
