Jailbreak Triathlon gets clean-up sponsor

On 11 December, when thousands of participants come together to prove that they can escape from a maximum or minimum-security prison or even facilitate a gang escape (team event) in a triathlon format, Tuffy will be cleaning up behind them, as a key sponsor of the Jailbreak Triathlon.

Race organiser, Colleen Jacka, says that they are excited to have a brand like this involved in keeping the race area clean this year.

"Triathlon events create a lot of litter, coupled with the fact that there are three formats in this event means it is imperative that we have a clean-up partner on board to ensure everything is left the way we found it. We are grateful to the company for coming on-board to remove all the evidence."

"We believe it is important that our brand is aligned to sporting events like this and that we ensure that the route following the events is left thoroughly cleaned," says Rory Murray, marketing manager at Tuffy. "We also ensure that the waste collected is recycled properly and not just dumped on a landfill site.

"We like to show that we are the pioneers in waste and recycling and therefore will continue to support these types of events," he concludes.
