AVI H1 consolidated HEPS seen 8%-11% higher

Consumer goods group AVI (AVI) expects its consolidated headline earnings per share in the six months to December to rise by between 8% and 11% from a year-earlier period.

AVI‚ which owns brands including Five Roses and Bakers‚ said on Friday, 23 January 2015, revenue in the review period was anticipated to have risen 11.1% to R6.1bn.

The company said its overall sales performance was "sound in a tough trading environment"‚ with the group realising higher selling prices in all categories.
