Commenting on the new committee the chairman, Bazil Lauryssen, said that it was encouraging to note that the Exco was representative of a broad range of Out of Home media owners from the traditional billboards through to transit and ambient media.

Lauryssen expressed his satisfaction with the growth in membership of OHMSA and attributed this to the positive contribution that the association was making to its members, as well as the strong stance the association was taking against unapproved outdoor sites. "It is clear that the stringent OHMSA constitution and the enforcement of its terms and conditions is starting to pay off with companies starting to really see the benefits of becoming OHMSA members."
