A French vehicle for BBC Food
Car manufacturer Peugeot is the headline sponsor of the BBC Food programme 'Rick Stein's French Odyssey.' The new 10 part series, which launches on 9 November 2005, features well-known connoisseur, cookery writer and chef Rick Stein, travelling by barge across southern France on a gastronomic journey.
According to Oracle Airtime Sales, Peugeot saw the opportunity for a 'French alignment' between themselves as a French brand and the show, which highlights the French nation's enjoyment of creating and eating good food.
The first programme sees Rick journeying across the English Channel and following the Atlantic Coast down to Bordeaux. Then he sets off on a six-week adventure, travelling on the Canal du Midi in search of the best food and wine that the area has to offer.
