Celebrating Ramadaan
In an exclusive for South African TV, Ramadaanat4 - a feature to mark the Muslim holy month, Ramadaan - has been broadcast for the past month on SABC Africa. The programme is broadcast to 53 countries on the African continent.
Ramadaanat4 ends this week, but SABC Africa will also broadcast a documentary, 'Inside Mecca', on 11 December 2005. There is an opportunity for viewers to win a trip to Mecca.
With its variety magazine format, Ramadaanat4 has been presented by South African Bollywood sensation, Ganie Parker and radio and TV personality, Faizel Sayed. It has covered general spirituality in a fun and 'easy to understand' environment, aiming to create unity, tolerance and understanding amongst all religious denominations in South Africa, according to the producers.
