Oracle Airtime Sales confirms that the first M-Net broadcast on 18 July 2004, achieved 10.5 ARs amongst English M-Net subscribers. Amongst Afrikaans M-Net subscribers, 5.6 ARs were recorded. Amongst DSTV viewers watching on M-Net for the period 18 July 2004 - 8 August 2004, the ARs for English subscribers were higher than those of the Afrikaans subscribers. In the same period, a cumulative 28.5 ARs were tracked for English subscribers watching on M-Net.
