Kiwi spotlight on SA music

The New Zealand television channel C4 TV put the spotlight on South Africa this week with the broadcast of the South African episode of its new music show ‘Making Tracks'. The show is about taking popular New Zealand music of the times and having different musicians from all over the world reinterpret it in their own unique way.

On this South African episode they featured local talent L.A.P (Live African Percussion), a project by young South African percussionists and musicians from Soweto. L.A.P, which has a new album titled ‘Stiff Pap & the Gang', was released in late 2007 by the former London based record label MELT2000 now based in South Africa.

Viewers around the world are being given a chance to see this show on the C4 TV website: www.c4tv.co.nz. The show will be available for a full week on the channel's website from the day of its premiere.
