“We are changing more lives every day and hope to have 10 screens up by the end of this year”, says Graeme Joffe, co-founder of Township TV.

The Educational and Entertainment facilities are located in the Joburg City Parks with 24-hour security, allowing the kids to watch their favorite DSTV programming in a safe, controlled environment. Live football in the evenings and on the weekends has been a big drawcard, and the recent Chiefs/Pirates derby was a real fan fest in the Parks.

“I have seen a big change in the attitude of the people; it's all smiles when the kids and adults come into the park,” says Lewis Manjanja, manager for Township TV in Diepsloot.

The free access to the parks has made sure there is free entertainment for the people seven days a week. All the games from the upcoming European Championship will also be shown..

The next big screen is scheduled to go up in Rose Park, Lenasia in June.
