
SABC's Magopeni: guilty of one out of three charges
Phathiswa Magopeni, the SABC's editor in chief was found guilty of one of the three charges levelled against her by the SABC, with the recommendation that she be given a warning.

She was found guilty of failing to prevent the broadcast, airing and publication of an interdicted story, but not guilty that she deliberately defied an order of the court thereby bringing the public broadcaster into disrepute as well as the charge of failure to discharge her fiduciary duties.The hearing says that there was no evidence to substantiate the charge of deliberately defying an order of the court.
