Adventure Boot Camp raises funds for institutions
"Adventure Boot Camp is a company run by women, for women, and naturally, this is a cause very close to our hearts. During our November and December camps we raised funds in a number of ways. The option for an additional R10 donation was given to ladies registering for camp, we held an additional class across the country on 9 November, and on 3 December we invited men to our 'Bring-a-Boy' to a boot camp. This is the only day of the entire year in which men are allowed to come to class," says Huenu Solsona, director and owner of Adventure Boot Camp South Africa.
A privilege to help
"Home violence is extremely traumatic and it affects a massive amount of women in South Africa - a lot more than we can even imagine. At Adventure Boot camp we feel privileged to be able to help towards a cause that is little talked about yet which affects so many women so deeply. The centres we are supporting do an incredible job ensuring not only the safety of women and children in danger, but also counselling services, assistance with new work, human trafficking and much more," says Solsona.
To date, Adventure Boot Camp has raised R75,135 for the Saartjie Baartman Centre in Cape Town, and R74,190 for the Usindiso Ministries in Johannesburg.
