According to an article published in the newspaper today, Johan van der Heever, a transport operator, angry members of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency blocked him from taking tourists to God's Window.

He says that the strikers threw stones at the tourists and told him that if the tourists walked up to the site, they would set his bus on fire.

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism says it will intervene in the strike to ensure that people travelling to the Kruger Park and Mpumalanga's other tourist destinations over the coming long weekend will be safe.
