More top talent, more award-winning content, more of the fun, on Durban's No 1... East Coast Radio

In our usual fashion of giving just over 1.9 million listeners the greatest chart-toppers, unsurpassed content and the very best in on-air talent, the East Coast Radio airwaves are set to become even hotter!

A fresh new line-up that brings you some fantastic new talent while keeping some of your old favourites, will take effect from Monday the 2nd of July 2011.

On weekdays get ready for a new voice as comedian, actor (and sometimes crazy guy), Darren Maule, takes over the mic as your breakfast show host, from 06h00 to 09h00. Darren is a master storyteller with a natural funny bone, bringing you just the right dose of fun needed to kickstart your morning. You can still count on the wicked sense of humour from tag team Seema Diahnan on Newswatch, Johan Von Bargen on Traffic and Dumi Kunene on Sportswave.

Makhosi Khoza promises to ruffle some feathers with his quick wit and humorous outlook on almost everything while keeping you company during the first session of the Workzone between 09h00 and 12h00. Peter G gets you through your workday as he takes over the reigns during the second part of the Workzone between 12h00 and 15h00.

Damon Beard's boyish charm still eases you through the traffic on your daily trip home with his team - Jason Van Deventer, Natarah Nadesan and Johan Van Bargen every weekday between 15h00 and 18h00. This funky fresh show brings you the best in afternoon entertainment.

Packing in the girl power, you can count on Abi Ray, the girl-next-door to help you unwind at the end of a hard day. Abi's bubbly personality and laid back tunes makes her the perfect evening companion every weekday between 18h00 and 21h00.

Look out for current affairs powerhouse Ndumiso Ngcobo between 21h00 and 23h00. A popular columnist and author, listeners can expect a highly entertaining show from Ndumiso that will either leave you nodding your head or at the edge of your seat. Either way, he will have you thinking.

Count on the company of Sirshen Moodliar between 23h00 and 02h00 to keep you going through the night with light-hearted chats and great music.

And if the weekdays sound amazing, then get ready for a radical overhaul of the My Weekend schedule, which includes well-known presenters Jane Linley-Thomas (06h00 to 10h00) and Neville Pillay (10h00 to 13h00) entertaining you every Saturday and Sunday.

From 13h00 your airwaves will be owned by the young and funky with Kyleigh Lazarus and Samson Oduntan bringing you the Global Charts on a Saturday from 13h00 to 17h00, Nelisa Kala at 17h00 till 21h00 and Lebo Masike will entertain the party animals and night owls from 21h00 to midnight.

Sunday afternoons are all about unwinding and listening to great music. You can count on Trevor Williams to you the old school jams you love from 13h00 to 15h00, Kyleigh and Samson bring you the Top 20 from 15h00 to 17h00, Nelisa is back from 17h00 till 21h00 and Lebo from 21h00 to midnight - making sure that your weekend has the perfect end, with excellent company and the best hits of the 80's, 90's and today!

Naveen Singh, East Coast Radio's Programming Manager, says: "In what has been the biggest line-up change that East Coast Radio has seen in more than twelve years, we are immensely proud to have landed such a stellar cast of top talent. Adding a fresh take to our already established on-air personalities enables us to give our listeners more of what they want."
