Where's Jeff?

“Ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, we believe it's crucial to inspire enthusiasm for the event and pride in our country among our audience,” said Simon Parkinson, promotions manager for Primedia Broadcasting. “The BP Ultimate Challenge achieves these goals as it highlights the host cities, the stadiums as well as showcasing the range of places and activities available off the beaten track.”
Where's Jeff?

He was referring to the newly launched radio competition on 94.7 Highveld Stereo and 94.5 Kfm, where listeners get to know their country in a new promotion, which asks the simple question, “Where is Jeff?”

Jeff is on the road

Jeff, who is Kfm sports presenter in Cape Town, is into extreme sports. He has nearly 3000 skydives to his name and has been a skydive instructor in both South Africa and the USA. He is also an avid rock-climber and a photographer/videographer so there will be plenty to watch and see on his blog on the websites.

Having left Cape Town on Monday 29 March 2010, he will make his way around the country, stopping at each of the stadiums that will be used for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, on his way to his final destination, Johannesburg on 24 April. En route, he will be discovering what makes South Africa great as he travels beyond the major centres and seeks out the hidden gems - places, faces and activities.

R500k, car up for grabs

Listeners need to start brushing up on their geography as the only way to get their hands on a share of R500 000 will be to follow the clues given out on air and correctly identify where Jeff is that day. There will also be a separate competition on the stations' websites, and Club VIP/Klub VIP members can stand in line to win a brand new VW Polo TDI - the same vehicle Jeff will be using to cross the country.

Listeners can also follow him on Twitter @BPChallenge to get instant updates from the road or go www.highveld.co.za orwww.kfm.co.za for more information.
