Mamma Mia! OFM is bringing ABBA to Central South Africa!

Relive the greatest hits from one of the world’s most iconic music groups on Friday, 29 March, at 20h00, and Saturday, 30 March, at 14h00 and 20h00, at the Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein. Tickets cost from a R140 and under 18s pay R100 for the 14h00 show on Saturday.

Says OFM Marketing Manager, Lindiwe Mtwentula: “OFM is excited to bring the city of Bloemfontein this spectacular event. Centrestage is a highly professional Port Elizabeth-based production company, who has put on stage many fabulous shows! OFM is proud to bring them to the City of the Roses and know that they will entertain and enthrall old and young with their wonderful rendition of a timeless musical group.”

ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982.

Several films, including Muriel’s Wedding and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert featured ABBA’s music in their soundtracks. The musical Mamma Mia!, inspired by the music of ABBA, was released in 2008 and became the highest-grossing film in the UK that year. A sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, was released in 2018.

They’ve released countless hits, including Mamma Mia, Thank You For The Music, Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Chiquitita and many, many more.
