Distribution News South Africa

Indique embarks on SA extension

Ebony Ivory Hair has signed a distribution agreement with Indique Hair International to become the first South African business to supply the Pure Collection, some of the finest quality Indian Remy hair extensions, to SA salons and consumers.
Indique embarks on SA extension

While there are many small hair extensions distributors throughout South Africa, consumers are challenged with varied levels of quality. Currently, the majority of extensions supplied is synthetic hair from China. This deal makes Indique products, 100% virgin human hair that is natural, available for sale directly to salons for the first time in South Africa, which will enable stylists to increase their salon revenue.

"Indique, an internationally recognised branded company, has reputable products that will guarantee unequaled consistency in quality, supply and service to achieve stunning results for consumers," commented Gavin Stollar, CEO, Ebony Ivory Hair. "Our strength will be in localising Indique, the most popular growing brand in the USA, for the knowledgeable South African consumer who is looking for a quality product that looks natural, does not tangle, is durable and low maintenance."

No need to split hairs

Traditionally, South African consumers purchase their hair extensions from hair and beauty shops and take it to their local salon for fitting. Access to Indique products will revolutionize the industry by empowering the stylist and simplifying the procurement process for the consumer by making the salon a one stop shop for both hair purchases and fitting.

Unlike salons, hair and beauty shops do not typically employ trained, qualified people to best advise consumers about hair extension products. To address this need, Ebony Ivory will offer comprehensive courses directly to professional stylists and individuals looking for a career in the hair and beauty industry.

"We're confident stylists and their clients will be impressed with Pure Collection options," commented Ericka Dotson, Co-Founder and Director of New Business Development, Indique Hair International. "Our products are rapidly gaining traction in the fractioned hair extension business because we are committed to presenting a superior product and excellent experience for the beauty-conscious consumer."

Ebony Ivory Hair will display Indique products at the Afro Hair & Beauty Live to be held in South Africa, 9 - 11 August 2008.
