According to NAA, the Jason-1 ocean altimetry satellite, a US-French satellite doing oceanography surveys for more than 11 years has been decommissioned. The satellite helped create a climate data record of global ocean surface topography.
Jason-1 was decommissioned after the loss of its last remaining transmitter late last month.
