Register now for 2014 studies: cabinet

All 2013 matriculants planning to continue their education next year should register now for their studies, Cabinet said on Monday, 12 August 2013.

"Learners are encouraged to carefully consider their career choices and asses their financial requirements," acting government spokeswoman, Phumla Williams told journalists in Pretoria.

The briefing followed Cabinet's fortnightly meeting last Wednesday.

"Cabinet calls on the 2013 matriculants to register now at tertiary institutions for 2014 in line with the department of higher education and training's Apply Now! campaign."

She said pupils should take note of government's National Student Financial Aid Scheme, which provided financial aid to academically deserving and financially needy students.
