Guest speakers included Bontle Senne and Hlengiwe Sindane, both from NPO Puku Children's Literature Foundation, and Lindiwe Mthembu, a Readathon ambassador. Topics covered included Sindane's vision for her future in radio broadcasting and a sample of a radio show that talks about READ's work and determination to promote reading.
Also on the agenda for the day was storytelling 'the longest story in the world' by Senne. Children, parents and educators all participated in the reading, poetry, public speaking and fun memory games. Learners from Nka Thuto Primary School and Motsewapele Primary School enjoyed participating in all the activities.
