Tesla breaks 0-100kph record in new test
Tesla's electric cars are known for extremely nippy acceleration — hell, most electric cars are a kick in the pants. But a test found that the company's Model S P100D actually sets a new record.

Motor Trend tested the car from a standstill, finding that it reached 30 miles per hour, 40 miles per hour, 50 miles per hour and 60 miles per hour faster than any other production vehicle.
“In our testing, no production car has ever cracked 2.3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. But Tesla has, in 2.275507139 seconds,” the publication noted.
