FNB commissions Kurt Wenner to create 3D art piece

To celebrate and commemorate 175 years of help, First National Bank (FNB) has commissioned Kurt Wenner to create an original 3D art piece at FNB Bank City, depicting Inner City renewal, beautification and revival.

Wenner, the three-dimensional illusion artist, has been using his techniques with campaigns across the globe for some time now and has been responsible for creating massive hype in real time as well as on the virtual platform.

First visual art viral storm

His art works have assisted in driving millions of potential customers to web sites and encouraging viral tidal waves on the internet; his paintings created the first visual art viral storm on the internet.

"It's wonderful to return to Joburg in spring to install an original work as part of the celebration of 175 years of help and First National Bank's ongoing commitment to the rejuvenation of the inner city of Johannesburg," Wenner commented from his home near Seattle, Washington.

"Pavement art in urban spaces is a good way to propose a new vision for places and spaces often written off by the public, as well as create awareness through the social media."

The Artwork will be on display from 19-20 September 2013, at the First National Bank City premises, corner Kerk and Simmonds Streets, Johannesburg.
