Wentworth Miller and Boris Kodjoe are to co-star in Resident Evil: Afterlife; the first of the series to be shown in 3D. The film will be released on 10 September, 2010, and will pick up where the third movie left off.

Alice roams around Los Angeles in search of survivors of a T-virus outbreak that turns its victims into deadly zombies. She finds herself trapped in the confinements of a building surrounded by swarms of infected zombies.

Boris Kodjoe plays Luther West, the unofficial head of a small group of survivors barricaded into a prison. Kodjoe, who acted as Damon Carter in the well-known American series Soul Food. He also landed major roles in Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion (2001), and most recently opposite Bruce Willis in the 2009 science fiction film Surrogates.

Popular in the video game

Wentworth Miller, who rose to stardom following his role as Michael Scofield in television series Prison Break, plays a character who is very significant as it is popular in the video game from which the Resident Evil franchise is based. Miller plays Chris Redfield, Claire's brother.

Chris and Claire Redfield were separated soon after the T-virus was unleashed. Both assume the other is long dead. "He's just emerging from the cell where he's been imprisoned for years and suddenly there's the face of his long-lost sister," said Miller. "There's a tremendous moment of shock and recognition, followed by a surge of emotion and tenderness, But at the same time, it's Resident Evil."
