Vomit-spitting, gut-spilling sleepwalkers in Zombieland

Zombieland is apparently not a horror. Let's go with action-comedy as the producers suggest. The movie has an interesting theme despite the awful title. At the very beginning it did cross my mind if there was any point to it. The movie that is.
Vomit-spitting, gut-spilling sleepwalkers in Zombieland

The movie is about surviving a plague of Zombies who seem to have taken over the human race. The main character, Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), is deeply affected by the social effects of life and his paranoia gets the better of him. His conquest in Zombieland depicts his issues in the real world and maybe this time fear is on his side.

Along the way he meets Tallahasee (Woody Harrelson) who is the total opposite and doesn't scare easily. His only quest in Zombieland, besides beating down Zombies, is to satisfy his Twinkie craving!

Columbus and Tallahasee have to stare down the Zombies together or go it alone in this game in order to survive. And what is a movie without some female action as ‘Witchita' and ‘Little Rock' make their entrance shortly afterward.

The story-line isn't that captivating but the film is embedded with an underlying message that shines through in the plot - So you may want to look out for that. Clue: Confront your fears. Or did I just give it away? Sorry.

I must admit my expectations with this one preceded me, if for the very least it turned it around only satisfactorily. Not my first choice at the box office but not a total waste of time either. Be prepared to be zombified by vomit-spitting, gut-spilling sleepwalkers!

I'd say ‘Not that baaaaaad'.
