Call to clean up Muizenberg beach

Please meet at Lifestyle Surf Shop at 10.30am, Sunday. An hour or two of your time will help tremendously in keeping one of Cape Town's favourite beaches in pristine condition.

Local singer songwriter Roland Albertson will set the ball rolling with a special acoustic set of his fresh acoustic surf rock and DJ/surfer/artist Jared Aufrichtig (aka DJ Just Be...?) will also be dropping some beats to get everyone amped. There will be a short educational video presented by Surfrider and Afri-Oceans Conservation Alliance at 10am, before the start. Spot prizes of gear and vouchers will be given out during the day.

Tag-team competition

But before all this is under way, Surfing South Africa will be hosting a tag-team competition for its youth-development clubs. You can watch the future of SA surfing as the best of Isiqalo, Palama Metsi, SurfShack and WaveCrush take each other on, beginning at 8am.
