Levi's® launches 'Get Rid Of Your Jeans For Good'

After announcing the imminent arrival of the “These Are Different Range”, the Levi's® team has decided to take Going Green to the next level. This time however, the Levi's® brand is letting you benefit directly by doing your part for the environment and society-at-large. Continuing its tradition of commitment to corporate social responsibility, Levi Strauss South Africa is partnering with eco-friendly music festival Rocking the Daisies to launch “Get Rid of Your Jeans for Good”.
Levi's® launches 'Get Rid Of Your Jeans For Good'

That old pair of jeans at the back of your cupboard can now be given a second lease on life.
From the 27th July, consumers can bring their old jeans - any brand, colour, style or size, (as long as they are still wearable) to any Levi's® Store. For each pair donated, you will receive a voucher that entitles you to up to R200 off your purchase of a new pair of Levi's® jeans. The old pair will be donated to disadvantaged communities supported by Rocking the Daisies and Rocking the Gardens. What a win win situation, Levi's® jeans are given to those in need; you will have scored a great new pair while doing something good!

With a shared love of local original music and our beautiful planet, Levi's® and Rocking the Daisies are a natural fit. Levi's® has been a proud sponsor of this eco-friendly festival since 2007, and is thrilled that the team will now also be extending this concept to Joburg with Rocking the Gardens. Bringing the power of 5fm to the party really takes this initiative to another level - beyond Levi's® stores and into people's homes, offices and cars.

“LS&CO. is very conscious of the environmental challenges facing our world, and is committed to being part of the global environmental movement.” says Debbie Gebhardt, Levi's® Marketing Director. “Recycling is an inextricably core component of being kinder to our environment. The company has a long history of giving back to the communities in which its jeans wear is produced & sold. So this campaign is a natural extension of our company culture.”

Rocking the Daisies takes place at Kloof Wine Estate in Darling from 9 to 11 October, while Rocking the Gardens hits Jozi on 3 October at Emmerentia.
