The event will begin at 7pm with performances and appearances by a STAR-STUDDED LINEUP. The STAR-STUDDED GUEST LIST will include an array of celebrities. “We are grateful to the venue MOVIDA for making their iconic nightclub available to us as the city of Johannesburg is the natural place for such a benefit event”, adds Davenport.
The annual event is designed as a celebration of the day Nelson Mandela was born, which for the world of human rights is a monumental day. Proceeds from the event will be given to support charities on the cutting edge of the Human Rights movement.
“More than any other human being, Ex President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, has inspired the world over to participate in the Human Rights movement” adds Davenport. “This is South Africa, where human rights have changed dramatically. It's only fitting that we join in and celebrate the birthday of the man who is the symbol of our social evolution” The event is a culmination of a series of benefit events that have been planned and will serve as a way to bring together the global ambitions of the movement to further human rights.
