Robin Pieters is a busy man. He recently released his new single Fool and will host his own production It's a love thing volume 2 with Lira, Paxton, Belinda Davids and a host of other stars at GrandWest Arena in Cape Town on 14 February 2018.
I caught up Robin in the middle of rehearsals ahead of the show.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of your work?
That I get to do what I love and what I am most passionate about – singing!
What drives you: ego or humility?
Humility.
Your heroes?
Spider-Man.
Which living person do you admire most and why?
Oprah - because this is a woman who never gave up on her dreams. I can relate to this.
What is your most treasured possession?
The memories and photographs I have of my mom.
If you were not a musician, what would you do?
Probably a chef.
Pick five words to describe yourself?
Fun. Lovable. Outgoing. Always motivated. Positive.
Five desert island discs?
Anything with Whitney Houston will get me going :)

Myself LOL.
What is your favourite word?
WORD!!!

Stiek uit jou bang ding - come out you scared thing.
Your greatest achievement?
Probably living my dream being in the music industry and not being a struggling artist.
What do you complain about most often?
That I'm tired.
What is your fear?
Not being successful.
On stage, I tend to?
Laugh and have fun with the audience.
The best life lesson you have been taught?
Never give up on your dreams. It took me seven years.
