The Plastics to participate in Nouvelle Prague
Cape Town indie band The Plastics are to participate in the Nouvelle Prague 2014 Showcase in November 2014 - one of only eight bands worldwide to be afforded the honour. The band were scouted by the organisers while performing at Parklife Festival in Joburg and were offered a position on the showcase line-up.
Nouvelle Prague hosts the event each year, which involves delegates from around the world forming panels discussing various topics and issues affecting the music world, as well as a festival of bands from around the world playing for those attending.
"The aim for us would be to meet as many people as possible at the showcase - musicians and industry folk - to connect to the worldwide music community. We really want to be able to tour the world and see this as a gateway to getting opportunities to do so."
Nouvelle Prague 2014 takes place in the Smichov District in Prague, Czech Republic on 7 and 8 November, 2014.
The Plastics are currently working on a new EP set for release early in 2015.
