New Desmond & The Tutus album to be released in three parts
Desmond & The Tutus' new album will be released in three parts on iTunes starting from the beginning of September. Entitled "Enjoy Yourself" and recorded and produced by High Seas Studios, the album will be released in physical form in limited editions after all three parts have been released.
The first four tracks, while distinctly Desmond & The Tutus, have the band bringing their microphones, their drumsticks, their jangly guitars, their moustaches, and their slightly broken metronome to explore a rounder, more spacious, sound that plays with song punctuations, new textures, rhythmic change-overs, and surf-rock-influenced backing vocals, while lyrically expanding on their signature story-based naiveté toward a darker melancholy.
To coincide with the release of "Enjoy Yourself", the band has put together a series of comedy sketches for your entertainment. The seven promos were shot in one day by Hanro Havenga. Combining the wackiness of Tim & Eric's Awesome Show with their own naïve awkwardness, the promos are available on the bands YouTube channel.
