New Uys play for World Cup
Pieter-Dirk Uys will present the special show, which comprises a selection of comedy sketches. Inspired by the fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk, where the giant searches for Jack with the words "Fee-fie-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman!", the entertainment will start with the story of Bafana and Sepp the Giant. Audiences will meet General Montgomery trying to plan a way to encircle and capture the illusive Stadium on the Green Point Common; an imported Lady of the Night tries to negotiate in 11 official languages; a "bergie" who has lived since 1652 at the foot of Signal Hill is now forced to move to Noordhoek by the new radical bylaws that have been imposed on the Mother City and a Cockney S****R hooligan, drunk and disorderly, finds himself trapped on the edge of one of the unfinished foreshore bridges. The patient people of Cape Town will have their say!

And, of course, there will be a farewell word from our sponsor, Sepp the Giant himself, supporter of the poor, compassionate uplifter of the disadvantaged and soon to be the richest administrator in the world.
