Vaudeville to open in Cape Town

A new entertainment destination will open in Cape Town in December 2009. Vaudeville will incorporate a 300-seater supper club offering superb food, live entertainment and the adjacent Fez Club.

Vaudeville, following on the global Supper Club phenomenon, will offer outstanding entertainment choreographed by the innovative party architect Dirk Vervaeke, whose professional credits include choreographing prestigious events in Europe and for Cirque du Soleil. These theatrical events, produced by Will Travel and Andrew Florenca of The Sunroom, will push the realms of the digital age with intimate productions encompassing extraordinary audio-visual elements, interacting with Vervaeke's new and fresh approach to a performance mix of burlesque, circus arts, global street entertainment and live music.

Six nights a week

Performances will take place six nights a week and diners will be waited on during the show with a three-course meal created by super chef Andrea Foulkes and her team from Dish Food & Social whose famous fare is a riot of flavour and colour. The adjacent Moroccan-themed Fez Club will be relaunched by former Fez patron Darren Skinner, who is delighted to have the Fez at the same location so that patrons can conveniently continue the party after their dinner and the show at Vaudeville.

Group and individual bookings are now open for Vaudeville's first season, with show information to follow so please watch the press for details. The venue is located at 11 Mechau Street (off lower Bree Street) on the Foreshore in Cape Town. To reserve seats and tables email .
