Three Wise Men @ the Baxter

Want to switch on the festivities and get right into the silly season? Well what better way than to sink your teeth into some hilarious comedy this summer with “Three Wise Men,” a comedy show featuring the likes of Marc “Aunty Merle” Lottering, Nik Rabinowitz and Riaad Moosa. Be prepared though to laugh at yourself as well as the person next to you because it's a no holds barred session of politically incorrect banter brought to you by South Africa's cream of the crop.

As I write this I feel like the PR rep for this show, punting tickets like I'm gonna be paid for it. But sadly no, there is no crafty underhandedness going on behind the scenes. I really just enjoyed the show, and hey, you will too. The comedy commences with a four-piece band jazzing us up with some instrumental showbiz stints and poof, out pop the men of the hour dressed up and wigged up to entertain. Riaad Moosa was the comedian of the night for me with his set leaving the audience in tears (tears of laughter ofcourse). The skits were equally hilarious with all three participating in an Aunty Merle 5-minuter that tickled everyones funny bone. Nik Rabinowitz does a South African version of the Naked Chef and he bares his bum while braaing a chicken -on-a-can dish.

This is one not to be missed and could be fun for a first date to find out whether there might be a second because you really can tell a lot about a person from their sense of humour. It's side-splitting stuff folks, so log onto Computicket now if this is your cup of java.
