More minimal-Baroque eyewear from Prada

Following its January 2011 launch of minimal-Baroque eyewear collection, Prada has launched two new models available in stores from April, which form the subject of the second phase involving creativity in eyewear.

Minimal-Baroque is not just a collection but a structured project divided into several phases. The Deluxe eyewear, from the January show, has a decidedly baroque style, homage to colour, fun and originality. It was produced as a limited edition and distributed in February in Prada boutiques, selected department stores and ILORI eyewear stores.

The idea takes its inspiration from the spring/summer 2011 women's' wear collection and represents a creative fil rouge. Curves, friezes and bas-relief effects are the main design features of the collection, with colour combinations and a choice of acetate that seamlessly coordinates the lines of the frame front and arms, sculpted into rococo curls, which is the distinctive feature.

The new collection will have the same design matrix, with different creative development. The shapes are to become softer, offering a wider and more intense array of colours.
