The land, approximately 70kms from Sun City, was obtained from the local government via a 50-year land lease and will be transferred to the community trust after this period, ensuring that the centre truly "becomes theirs."

The mall is a collaboration between Mike Masemola and Francois Fouche who started working together in 2005 and jointly developed Moratiwa Crossing near Groblersdal in 2007. They believe in not only collaborating with the local community but also improving their lives and accordingly the company has donated, amongst other things, a palisade fence to the value of R84000 to surround the existing community hall.

The fully let mall is 10400m2, with 89% of the centre having national tenants such as Shoprite, Nedbank, Standard Bank, ABSA, Jet, KFC, Pep, Ackermans and Mr Price. There are 32 stores to choose from, with major fashion, food, bank, grocery, doctor's rooms and other services such as a hair salon and post office included. The centre also includes the Madibeng Community Radio Station that will operate on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.

The first of its kind in the area, it is situated on the main arterial road, which will make for easy access. It will accommodate over 200 parking bays and commuters will be catered for with a drop off facility. The closest competitive shopping centre is in Mooi Nooi and other centres are situated up to 23kms away in Brits and Rustenburg. The mall will save transport costs for patrons from the surrounding area, with many being within walking distance of the centre.

A Total petrol station will also form part of the development and will be operational during the early months of 2013.

The construction, which was spearheaded by Robert Skinner Construction, ensured numerous work opportunities for the local community and, once the Mall is trading, more permanent jobs will be on offer.
