Country properties can make sense
For a relatively small initial investment, certain country properties and businesses can produce high returns to investors, says Henry Hall of Realtors International in Worcester.
Eight apartments and three shops in Rawsonville are for sale to investors for R1.5 million with a return of more than 11%.
Industrial rental premises are very scarce and sought after. In the industrial area of Worcester a developer can purchase 25 000m² at only R250/m² or 3500m² on Route 62 at R1.275 million.
Hall says businesses in the country not only produce good return with less competition, but also ensure a quieter lifestyle and country atmosphere in which to raise children.
