Customer rewards programmes launched by Toys R Us
Customers are required to follow a quick-and-easy process in-store or online, which involves completing a membership form in order to activate the rewards card.
Once registered, R Rewards members qualify for monthly discounts, exclusive promotions, product deals and competitions.
“R Rewards has been introduced as a way of giving back to our loyal customers as well as incentivising new customers by offering them tangible benefits,” said Nicole Annells, marketing manager of Toys R Us South Africa.
She added that the rewards programme will allow the retailer to communicate with its customers, providing them with information about the latest promotions and products through the communication channel that they have selected.
Understand customers’ needs
According to Annells, the information retrieved through the programme will assist the retailer to understand its customers’ needs better.
“A greater insight into our customer’s buying behaviour will assist us in our planning and decision making to improve our services and offerings based on our customers’ needs and preferences,” said Annells.
Customers can register for the R Rewards programme at all Toys R Us, Babies R Us and Reggies stores.
In addition, Toy R Us has partnered leading health and life insurer Discovery Health to offer consumers further benefits. Through this partnership, customers who are Vitality members and own a Discovery credit card are eligible for up to 20% cash back on items purchased at the retailer’s stores. Vitality Baby members can also receive discounts on selected products when using their Vitality Baby cards at Toys R Us, Babies R Us and Reggies stores.
