Tollink South Africa wins R110 million deal

Tollink South Africa has been awarded a contract worth R110 million to supply, maintain toll plazas in Limpopo according to an article published in City Press. The company is owned by Austrian organisation Efkon.

The contract will run for eight years and will include a full upgrade of the N1 route's toll plazas and the maintenance and support of the systems.

The entire South African National Roads Agency project to upgrade the road will cost about R600 million and has been awarded to Tolcon-Lehumo, which will operate the toll road.

City Press says the contract to upgrade the road will be completed by 2019 and will span 377km running from Gauteng, through Limpopo to Zimbabwe.
