Eat and sleep the township way

The chance to eat and sleep in the traditional township way is being offered by Vuvuzela Eat & Sleep in Cullinan, Gauteng, which is an initiative of the Metsweding Entrepreneurial Development Centre.
Eat and sleep the township way

Home-grown local chefs have lent their exceptional talent and expertise to the Vuvuzela Eat & Sleep menu, which is also available to day visitors. Guests are able to enjoy preparing and eating genuine local cuisine, as well as township-inspired accommodation in rooms modelled on real township homes.

Corrugated iron-look showers

Vuvuzela Eat & Sleep provides accommodation in four rooms, beautifully designed and decorated with locally sourced décor items according to the township theme, each with an en suite bathroom complete with zinc basins and corrugated iron-look showers. Overnight visitors will be able to immerse themselves in African folklore, as traditional stories, myths and legends of the local tribes are shared with guests around the fire at night.

Positioned as Vuvuzela - eat and sleep the township flava, the project is a pilot initiative that will be rolled out to other areas, such as Soweto and Mamelodi in the future.
