Liefde By Die Dam, named after Valiant Swart's famous hit song with the same name, showcases the best in local music in a picnic-style setting. The festival will take place at the Emmarentia Dam in Johannesburg on Sunday, 3 April and at the Meerendal Wine Estate in Cape Town on Saturday, 9 April.
The Johannesburg leg of the festival will feature Die Heuwels Fantasties, Francois van Coke, Appel, Elandré, Demi Lee Moore, Bernice West, Youngsta CPT and Robbie Wessels Refentse.
The Mother City edition of the festival will have the same artists on stage, with Francois van Coke making way for Paarl-based Afrikaans music group, Spoegwolf. Popular actor and comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout will be the MC at both concerts.
Pierre Greeff from Die Heuwels Fantasties, who is also one of the organisers of Liefde, says that the key to the success of this popular event is that they strive to create and maintain a platform that features only the best that the South African music landscape has to offer.
“We know that every artist on the line-up will bring their A-game. Festivalgoers can expect to see their personal favorite artists with the best sound on a fantastic stage. We are working non- stop to prepare everything so that people can have the absolute best day out,” Greeff says.
Tickets to the Liefde By Die Dam 2022 are available for purchase at www.liefdebydiedam.co.za.
