The Cape Town Corporate Games, which is part of the world's largest mass participation multi-sport festivals of its kind, will be taking place at the prestigious V&A Waterfront and a selection of supporting venues from 5-8 June 2014.
Many organisations have returned to the third edition of the Games in the Mother City which remain popular with more than 40 companies from Cape Town to Johannesburg having already confirmed participation.
Organisations are sending their employees to fly their corporate banners and to challenge one another across the 16 sports for the prestigious Corporate Games Medals and Awards.
Spectators, cheerleaders, mascots and fans are more than welcome across the Games weekend to watch and support the participating athletes as they make their way to victory.
Among some of the companies confirmed and ready to compete in this year's Games is Turkish Airlines, Shell Oil, Virgin Active, Protea Chemicals and the Williams Hunt/Reeds Motor Group. Sanlam, who are keen supporters of the Games in Cape Town have returned to the event with close to 200 competitors for their third consecutive year.
The Corporate Games allow companies to support their employees' pursuit of a healthier and more active lifestyle and it is the ultimate combination of sport, business and tourism.
The 16 sporting codes featured at the Cape Town Corporate Games range from action cricket, action netball, soccer to the flag ship sport, which is dragon boat racing. For the more fun at heart there is also go karting and tenpin bowling. Numerous networking opportunities are also featured throughout the Games weekend during the Opening and Closing Celebrations, Great Games Party and the Parade.
The Games provide the opportunity for anyone, regardless of their sporting ability, to play in a multi-sport championship and remain active in sport.
