The Wine Show returns to Nelson Mandela Bay
"Everyone's welcome at The Wine Show," said John Woodward, director of The Wine Show. "We believe that this is the ideal platform for novices to begin their wine education whilst the connoisseurs expand on their knowledge." Free Wine Extra Theatre sessions throughout the weekend offer visitors a chance to take part in tutored tastings and are a perfect example of The Wine Show's principle of edutainment. A few of the sessions include Pinotage Perfection, Chenin Blanc - SA's Unsung Hero and a session dedicated to bubbly. There will be stands, food and wineries such as Blaauwklippen Vineyards, Morgenster Estate, Gabrielskloof and Simonsig.
Sip 'n Ship service
For those who plan on taking advantage of having hundreds of SA's favourite wines under one roof, the Dawn Wing "Sip 'n Ship" service is non-negotiable. Simply drop off your purchases and collect them on your way out, or arrange for the wines to be couriered directly to your door. Good Fellas drivers will also be on stand-by for the last three hours of each show day offering complimentary service on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are available in advance through Computicket for R80 or R90 at the door. Group bookings of 10 or more will qualify for the discounted rate of R80 per person. This includes a crystal tasting glass, all tastings, access to the Wine Extra Theatre and a map to help you navigate the show. Weekend passes are R150 per person.
