I Love Cooking (www.ilovecooking.co.za), the working mum's foodie website has decided to acknowledge and focus on the excellence, skills and hard work of local food bloggers and the local and biggest foodie host, Food24.
Owned by 2blonds and a redhead filming (www.2blonds.co.za - a television production company with huge food interests and food brands as clients), I Love Cooking is a website offering delicious and easy recipes, basic culinary know-how and cooking video clips, which are produced to broadcast standards and are hosted by local talent, using local ingredients and dishing up delicious and easy recipes for predominantly local appetites.
The website's Our Best Bloggers' Recipes, (www.ilovecooking.co.za/bestbloggers.html has been launched and will feature food bloggers from around the country cooking up a storm. They will present their own video clips preparing their own favourite recipes, which earned them the most traffic to their blogs. All the video clips, as well as printable recipes, will be loaded onto each best blogger's own page, with a little bit of information about who they are and what they love most.
Popular diva blogger Janice Tripepi, from Durban, shows her love of the Italian sapori (flavour) on camera. When the clips were shot, she had the crew drooling over their gear when she cooked five of her tried-and-tested family favourites, which comprised hand-made pasta, pesto, two main courses and a dessert using fresh peaches poached in sparkling Lambrusco wine.
I Love Cooking chose Tripepi as a Best Blogger because she is a witty, energetic and excellent writer; her trusted recipes are easy and they work. She does not use ingredients that are foreign to our target market and her blog has a unique voice that is unmistakably mama - passionate, loving, generous, real and authentic.
