Easter treats at Shimmy Beach Club
The weekend will kick-off on Friday, 18 April with an evening of superb cuisine from the restaurant's new winter menu and entertainment from a top local DJ and the Shimmy Dancers, followed by a repeat performance on Saturday.
The family fun will begin on Easter Sunday with a buffet lunch featuring starters such as mussels maison & smoked salmon roulade with caper popcorn & red onion, and main courses like slow-roasted lemon & origanum leg of lamb and seared line fish with tsumi glaze, served with delicious side dishes like roasted root vegetables with balsamic reduction & torn basil. Desserts will include chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, fresh fruit, Banoffee tart, milk tart and sticky toffee pudding with custard.
Children's entertainment
Children will be kept entertained on Sunday with fun kiddies' activities, including Easter egg painting, arts and crafts, and an Easter egg hunt, as well as a lucky draw for an Easter surprise.
More kiddies' amusement will follow on Monday, 21 April, with face-painting, a balloon artist and arts and crafts, while tasty treats from the Easter harvest table will tickle the whole family's taste buds.
Guests can choose starters such as beef carpaccio with toasted bruschetta & rocket pesto, shrimp & avocado Ritz and a selection of baked breads, followed by tasty main courses like roasted beef with a salsa Verde, spinach & feta filled chicken roulade with a natural jus, seafood paella with prawns, calamari & line fish served with flavoursome side dishes including caramelised onion & herb mash and honey-glazed beetroot.
Desserts - including hot chocolate & Frangelico shots, key lime pie, fresh fruit, and mixed berry mousse - will more than satisfy the sweet tooth.
