Men Without Hats headline act at Mieliepop Festival

The rock, reggae and blues festival Mieliepop will be held from 1 to 4 November, 2013, and Men Without Hats, the quirky and innovative band with such hits as Safety Dance and Pop Goes the World will be the headline act. Their high-energy show features these favourites as well as material from their 2012 album "Love in the Age of War".

Just two-and-a-half hours from Joburg/Pretoria at the Tolderia Resort (Mpumalanga), Mieliepop is tucked away safely from the hustle and bustle of city living. Mieliepop set out to create a festival with a unique approach: a boutique festival where the scenery is breathtaking, the musicians are genuinely talented and the tickets are limited: "We really create a relaxed festival environment where there are no queues, clean ablutions for all and an environment where music lovers can really just kick back, relax and enjoy some of the best music in South Africa," said the organisers.

The 2013 edition of Mieliepop festival promises not to disappoint with the likes of local favourites, including Albert Frost, Shawn Phillips, Crystal Park, Naming James, Kinky Robot, G Force, Valiant Swart, Riders From The Storm, Radio Kalahari Orkes, Nakhane Toure, Jonny Guy and many others.

Tickets start from R550 per person for a full weekend pass or R350 for a day pass and can be bought from www.mieliepop.com
