Yesterday, 18 March, they will received an award from Shared Interest, a leading New York-based non-profit social investment fund, which will also honour award-winning singer, actor and activist Harry Belafonte and freedom fighter and social justice activist Father Michael Lapsley. Freshlyground will also perform at this 'sold out' event as well as at their after party.
On 1 April they will be back in South African to perform at the Festival of Chariots at Durban's North Beach at 6pm.
"Take Me To The Dance" Freshlyground's fifth studio album, produced by Steve Berlin was released in the US and Canada on the 12th May 2012, immediately hitting the number one spot of the most added on the CMJ World Music Charts.
