Mark Abrahams, Soundscape's director, has issued a formal apology to those who attended the recent Gatecrasher Summer Music Festival.
Gatecrasher Summer Music Festival, a formal apology

It has been made clear from the response over the past three days that a number of partygoers who attended the Gatecrasher Summer Music Festival held over the first weekend of February felt dissatisfied and cheated by the marketing of the event. That was certainly not our intent.

As the event organiser of the Gatecrasher Festival, Soundscape and its director, Mark Abrahams, acknowledge the disappointment and anger that this has caused, and offer a formal apology to all who attended the event.

With the little amount of time we had to put the event together, as well as a venue change from D'Aria Wine Estate to the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch to accommodate more fans, many details and steps were overlooked. This led to a great deal of disappointment and frustration, in particular regards to the main stage visuals and sound, duration of the event, as well as VIP areas.

Compensation offered

To show our sincerity, we would like to personally get in touch with each and every disappointed patron. We will ensure that your issues are addressed and that this does not happen again, and compensation will be made. In order for us to make contact please mail az.oc.epacsdnuos@troppus we will need full name and surname, cellphone number, proof of purchased ticket and valid reason for compensation.

We acknowledge that we may have lost many supporters and hope that one day we will once again be able to prove Soundscape to be a successful event organiser.

Soundscape would also like to acknowledge and thank the many members that have supported us, and once again, we apologise to those members who felt we treated them inconsiderately.
