    Emerging Sounds finalists announced

The finalists have been announced for the 15th annual final of the Emerging Sounds Challenge on Saturday, 3 December, 2011, at Rockabilly's, Edenvale, Joburg. This year has the biggest prize to be won with the winning band taking over R100 000 worth of prizes.

The standard of the bands at this year's final makes this event not only one of the most exciting finals, but one of the toughest to judge.

Bands also get to record at Get Phat Studios in Fourways with Steve Grenfell (Jesse Clegg's engineer) and they have an EPK filmed courtesy of Orange Orbit in Randburg. The winning band will also have a session with music guru Dave Chislett on planning their musical career in 2012 and they will also receive publishing advice from M2 Music.

There is also a diverse range of musical styles on offer covering a wide range of musical styles in English and Afrikaans.

Those attending will hear a mixture of rock, acoustic, electric instrumental, punk, rockabilly and fusion funk jazz.
