    The Rescu launch eponymous debut album

    The Rescu, the three-piece Cape Town rock band will launch their eponymous debut album at Hanover Street, Grand West Casino on 31 August, 2011. The music video for the first single, I Did It For You, will also be screened on the night.

    Band members include: Mike Vaughan, lead vocals and bass; Brendyn "Rusti" Rossouw, drums and vocals; and Gray Lowndes, guitars.

    The Rescu have been crafting and performing the songs that make up their eponymous 10-track debut album for the last 18 months. The band drew their inspiration for the songs from various elements and life experiences, including their love for South Africa and its people.

    The album was recorded at the Heritage Sound Studio, Cape Town.

    The album will be released by 2 Feet, a division of Sheer Sound and will be available in music stores nationwide by the end of August.

    Doors open at 8.30pm and the show starts at 9.15pm. Tickets are R40 from webtickets.co.za or R50 at the door.
